Up Early? I am….=)

Its Thursday morning (Didn’t sleep great but enough) , one day to go until I visit the Dr. I’m really nervous but also thankful for all the thoughts and prayers. They give me a calming perspective. I didn’t realize so many people had my phone #. =)

Just a reminder, if you have any questions or concerns about a mole or spot. Tell your doctor. Demand a Biopsy. Esp. you coaches who spend so much time in the sun.

I talked with a lot of my buddies over the past 48 hours.  I really missed not being able to talk with Mike Mauger. We lost him last year. I guess I just needed to hear him say “Knock, Knock!”. (John Wayne-Brannigan Quote) We loved watching John Wayne films together before every home game. We must have watched Big Jake over 20 times in my 25 years. My favorite quote from Big Jake…and there are many…was when asked….”I thought you were dead?”….Big Jakes response…”Not Hardly!”. Kinda my sentiments towards all this MM stuff! “Not Hardly”. #2 was The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. With my vast theatrical background, you can see why I always won the Movie trivia staff contests. =)

I talked with the dermatologist yesterday. I was curious about whether I should get a full body check for any other spots or suspicious areas right away. She told me that the surgery should come first, then a month or so after the surgery, have the complete body scan. Boy, I was relieved, now I have some time to lose a bit of weight. I may even have to trim my back hair. =)  I know…. TMI……

The key is trying to stay busy and keep your mind right. So I’m in luck…. Mary has no problem keeping me busy. =) Yesterday we worked on our Motorhome all morning. Fixed the kitchen plumbing and put in a new faucet. But it did make the day go by faster. Today who knows what she will come up with =) and oh BTW….She came in last night from the store….”Hey I got you something”…..I’m like …“What Flavor?” …..She pulls them out……Work gloves….I am not kidding….Work gloves….”Only $1.99 a pair!”….Yeah great.  “Should have got 2”. I thought retirement was supposed to be Margarita’s and Jacuzzi’s. Not today!
