Cyborg Legs

Black Friday was Crazy…..Cyber Monday was an overload…..So I thought I’d give you my version of Cyborg Tuesday…..and a few more nuggets in the kicking Game…..

We had a lot of guys that were position players and helped us in the kicking game. Guys like Anthony Aguila….who I mentioned in the Brothers section…He was a starting LBer……He was our punter for 3 years as well. Anthony Graziano, our starting QB, was a punter his senior year. (a rugby punter)…I guess you could call him a “dual threat punter”…=)

We had a few guys that were just kicking specialists and I can tell you….They were special. The First guy was Jeremy Ito. He was a scholarship guy to Rutgers. He had incredible FG accuracy.

Shaun McClain, improved every game! He kicked and punted. His leg became stronger with each kick. He received a Scholarship to Weber State University. He consistently put the ball in the end zone….and a couple of his punts caused some real problems…..they burned up re-entering the atmosphere. =) His smile was infectious. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree here either….great family!

Jared Porter was another phenom. He did KO’s for 3 years and had full time punting duty his senior year. He was special…. maneuvering of the ball on kickoffs, it gave us options. Jared received a scholarship to UL-Monroe Cajuns. Plus you could count on Mr Porter bringing that breakfast sausage every Saturday morning. 

Diego Marquez was another Leg Man! He ended up finishing his career at Univ of Miami. He was only with us for 2 years. I found him on the soccer team, but what a diamond we found. He only kicked but kick he did. (Sounds like Yoda)

These four guys popped right to the front when I thought about kickers. What made these guys so unique…..was they were just guys that worked their ass off to be the best! And they were……
